A Barangay Clearance proves you are a resident in good standing — needed for jobs, business permits, NBI or police clearance, and opening accounts. A Cedula (Community Tax Certificate) is often required before the barangay will issue your clearance, so get the cedula first.

Step 1: Kunin ang Cedula

  1. Pumunta sa city/municipal hall (treasurer's office); sa ibang lugar, sa barangay.
  2. Magpakita ng valid ID at sabihin ang kinita noong nakaraang taon.
  3. Magbayad at kunin ang cedula — kadalasang ilang minuto lang.

Bayad: ₱5 base + ₱1 kada ₱1,000 ng income noong nakaraang taon. Walang income? ₱5 lang.

Step 2: Kunin ang Barangay Clearance

  1. Pumunta sa barangay hall — dalhin ang cedula at valid ID na may address sa barangay.
  2. Punan ang form at sabihin ang purpose (hal. trabaho, business permit).
  3. Magbayad sa treasurer, kunin ang resibo, at hintayin ang pirma ng barangay captain — kadalasang same-day.
